ABOUT SCHOOL OF MASS COMMUNICATION
The School of Communication (SoC) was set up in 2014 to offer media courses that prepare students to work in the industry. The foremost learning objective of the SoC is to shape the next generation of media scholar and practitioners and to provide thought leadership on existing and emerging forms of media. The curriculum has been designed in collaboration with leading media professionals, academicians, media scholars, and stresses on both theoretical and practical aspect of the industry.
The course intends to fulfill the emerging and dynamic needs from media industry at global, national and regional level. The final program outcome is to conduct media programmes that is sustainable, industry relevant and leads to greater employability. The SoC strives to nurture students to become effective and ethical communicators in future. It also endures to make students socially responsible and imbibe human core values, which will be beneficial to the society at large.
The SoC provides degrees in communication and related subjects at Bachelor, Master and Doctorate level. It also provides diplomas and postgraduate diplomas in media related subjects also.

The teaching pedagogy adopted by SoC is to provide fine balance between the practical and theoretical understanding of the media related courses to the students. The students are continuously exposed to classroom teaching, hands on training, industrial visits, quality guest lectures, conferences, workshops etc. In order to maintain the high standards of faculty, the SoC have media professional with rigorous academic background equip to keep pace with the dynamics of media industry. In addition to this, the school has a state of art infrastructure, which includes a high tech radio studio, a well- equipped television studio, updated media related software, Mac and Window labs, conference hall, seminar rooms, smart boards etc.
